System Engineer (6-10 Years)
Veoneer exists to Protect Everyone in Every Crash. We design, manufacture and sell the world's best automotive safety electronics.
What Will You Do?
Analyze system‑level customer and internal requirements and convert them into clear system specifications, architecture definitions, and technical design inputs for software and hardware teams.
Define and refine system architecture, including interfaces, data flows, diagnostics, safety concepts, and communication frameworks for automotive ECUs.
Develop and maintain system requirement specifications (SRS), interface control documents (ICDs), system design documents, and system validation plans aligned with ASPICE and automotive quality processes.
Work closely with cross‑functional teams (software, hardware, validation, safety, cybersecurity, and product engineering) to ensure cohesive system integration and end‑to‑end functionality.
Analyze communication protocols and system behavior, including CAN, SPI, UDS, and other automotive network interactions, ensuring system-level consistency and performance.
Support system integration activities, including debugging, issue reproduction, root‑cause analysis, and solution proposals across multiple subsystems.
Ensure traceability from system requirements to design, implementation, and validation using tools like Codebeamer, DOORS, or equivalent.
Participate in safety and cybersecurity assessments, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262, secure system design principles, and relevant cybersecurity guidelines.
Review work products (requirements, design, test specifications) for system completeness, correctness, and alignment with project goals.
Support customer discussions, technical workshops, and requirement clarification sessions.
Support on RFQ
Drive continuous improvement of system engineering methods, tools, and processes.
What Will You Bring?
